ROCK FESTIVAL “DUNAYSKA SICH”

The event is held annually on Constitution Day, June 28.
Since 2014 Izmail has been the site for the rock festival “Dunaiskaya Sich”, which the Musical Battalion holds annually on Constitution Day. It all started with a small concert at  Izmail Palace of Culture, but since then the festival has received international status. Till 2020 it was visited by “Taruta”, “The Hardkiss”, “Gaydamaki”, “Tin Sontsya”, “Ocheretyaniy Kit” – 80 groups and performers including  guests from Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania.

“Danube Spring” Arts Festival

The event is held annually on the last weekend of May.  The festival brings together guests from the 70s of the XX century and up to now. In recent years, Tina Karol, “Lapis-98”, “TIK”, “Tabula Rasa”, “NeAngely” and others have performed at the festival.

Day of the City

The event is held annually, on the first weekend of October. Traditionally, the city celebrates its birthday in autumn. In recent years, Arsen Mirzoyan, Druha Rika, Vopli Vidoplyasova, Mad Heads XL, Zemliane, Iosif Kobzon and others have also helped us celebrate this holiday. In 2019, the Day of the City and the guest of the holiday, Oleg Vinnik, gathered almost 50 thousand visitors.

Ethnic festival “Bessarabian tanthella”

The event is held annually on the City Day. It is no coincidence that the name of the event uses the rare word “tanthella” (an element of handicraft decor framing embroidered towels, tablecloths, pillowcases and homespun carpets), since the festival is a show of ethnicity, folklore and originally Budjak traditions, a demonstration of multicultural and multinational Izmail.
